silly saturday

silly saturday at the whimsey project! our day to share silly stuff to make us grin, giggle, guffaw! looking forward to what you have to share! here's mine:

friday night was movie night for mom, sister and i.  movie watching around here can get very involved.  the activity can make for an interesting evening.

we watched something's gotta give with diane keaton and jack nicholson.  at one point, keaton's character, erica, called nicholson's character, harry, a schmuck. harry responded, "schmucks are people too, you know!" we laughed at that one.

after this scene, we were talking about someone and i called them a schmuck. mom piped up, "schmucks are people too!"

the movie had a happy ending but, like most movies, didn't tie up the lose ends for all the characters. mom said, "what about ted; what about the doctor?"  we told her you just had to infer or imagine that part. she said, "i don't like that.  like that clint eastwood movie about the boxer. what happened to the girl that beat her up?"  we told her that part didn't matter because it wasn't the important part. indignate she said, "it matters to me! i want to know what happens to these people!"  with a sigh i said, "then it would be a documentary not a movie!"  after a very long pause mom said, "i still want to know!"
