silly saturday

silly saturday at the whimsey project! our day to share silly stuff to make us grin, giggle, guffaw! we look forward to reading your silly. here's mine:

i am currently with my mother.  my sister lives nearby.  she's staying for a few days so we can have a gal pal get together. that's been silly enough.  yesterday a friend and his mom stopped by.  his mom is older but not as old as mom.  she, a true southerner, calls mom mrs.  the five of us are sitting in the living room talking. ms betty turns to mom and says, "mrs, i made a pan of steve's mashed potatoes for you. i left the pan on the counter while we were out today and when we got home i discovered that zoe had eaten all of your potatoes!"  we sat there for a moment to let this information sink in then burst out laughing! it's so silly because steve is an upscale caterer. his mashed potatoes are legend. to get a pan of those is more than a treat. zoe is their dog!
