mom and i baked cookies and brownies this morning. we were looking through recipes to determine what flavor of cookies to bake when mom told me a story. she and dad decided to compile a cookbook. they both had recipes that they wanted preserved from family and friends. they sat down one afternoon to begin the process. they couldn't agree on how to write TABLESPOON in the recipes. mom assured dad after all her hers of cooking she knew the correct symbol for tablespoon. that didn't convince him. so that was the end of their cookbook writing experience! what a guffaw that provoked from me!
Hahahah-mystery solved why we never received a copy of that recipe book.

mom most likely stonewalled any further discussion regarding cookbook writing. hahahahaaaaaaa.........
