whimsical wednesday
whimsical wednesday at the whimsey project! we are celebrating the coming of spring! do something that brings spring to life for you: take a walk, sit on the porch, put out nesting materials for the birds, prepare the birdbath for the season, plan a new garden space. whatever the weather permits and whatever you wish to undertake, enjoy spring!
it's too cold outside for me today, even though i hoped to be outside (perhaps later in the day). for my spring activity, then, i made a new garden space plan. it will be in the meadow, centered around a spinney of small trees. the plan is to make it a home for birds and small animals like bunnies!

miscellaneous monday
miscellaneous monday at the whimsey project! our day to share stuff we don't see the rest of the week. tell us your miscellaneous!
i had the pleasure of visiting with a friend today. we have not seen each other in years. she drove three hours to be with me. we had breakfast at the local cracker barrel. we sat inside for a few hours, having breakfast, drinking coffee and tea while talking. then we moved outside to the rockers on the porch and chattered away for another few hours! it's wonderful to see someone you care about but distance and circumstances keeps you apart. it's wonderful to be able to pick up together like you saw each other last week.

we are looking for blooming flowers, bushes, shrubs and trees for whimsical wednesday! as you go about your day, keep your eyes keen on observation!
whimsical wednesday's activity was pleasant and productive for me. throughout my day in town and at home, i spied at least a dozen flowering trees, about seven flowering bushes/shrubs and approximately two dozen flowering bulbs. dots of color in the landscape that made me smile.

miscellaneous monday
miscellaneous monday at the whimsey project! our day to talk about all the stuff we don't talk about the rest of the week. what say you about miscellaneous?
over the weekend of was far away from home, in my usual routine, visiting my mom. she's more than half way through her 91st year and had quite the medical emergency. the laptop traveled with me, however, there was no time to employ it. thus, no silly saturday or solitude sunday. mom was much better than i expected her to be after her episode. it was such a relief. my sister and brother-in-law live near her and they took care of her throughout three trips to the ER and a week in a hospital out of town. they made it possible for me to come when i could by taking care of our mom. i am home again but will be back to tennessee soon.
