whimsical wednesday
looking for zzzzzzzs this whimsical wednesday! get a magazine and begin to search for the letter Z throughout. tip: look for the specific letter Z as you scan the words. this will help you from falling into reading. circle or cut out the Zs you find. how many Zs did you find? share your results with the whimsey project!

i found the Zs in the AARP bulletin. i found more Zs than i expected to, having spied 31 in a 45 page magazine. most of them were from names. also zip in zip codes as there were several ads with blank address forms. being a magazine for elders, a lot of the Zs came from words with ized, ization, izing! another tip!? select a magazine without many pages or select a section of a longer magazine. i found my attention wandering after about page 30. if that happens take a break.
