whimsical wednesday

it's national breakfast month for whimsical wednesday.  celebrate by having the best breakfast ever for any meal today.  make it yourself or visit your favorite breakfast restaurant.  share breakfast memories and recipes here at the whimsey project.  the breakfast choices are endless!

when we were kids mom made cinnamon toast occasionally.  oh, how happy we were to have cinnamon toast for breakfast!  it was quite the treat for us.  here's the recipe:

cinnamon toast the way mom made it!

*place slices of white bread on baking sheets.
*spread soft or melted butter on the bread.
*sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
*bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 to 12 minutes.
*check the underside of the bread. if it's toasted to the degree you wish, it's finished.
*stack on a big plate.
*place in the center of table where it will be surrounded by eager children with tall glasses of milk and plates they never end up using.
*to dunk or not to dunk is up to the individual. we were and are definitely dunkers.
*enjoy!

sometime today breakfast will be served.  what is yet to be determined. what are you having for breakfast this whimsical wednesday? share here at the blog!
