whimsical wednesday

it's the first whimsical wednesday of april! our day to work on our own projects! what did you work on? share your efforts with the whimsey project!

i'll be practicing a few origami folds that were left undone from my origami folding session several months ago.  also, i'll be doing paint blending exercises from an online art journaling course i am taking. i have been putting off the exercises for what reason i have no clue. however, today is the day i blend!

  1. Club continues the year long recipe book project.
This month's recipe was breads--I handed out the Sticky Bun recipe. Yum Yum. Next month is desserts. That will be a hard one to pick out.

    1. paint blending is adding different colors to one color. my blending consisted of color plus gel medium, color plus white, color plus black. it turned out real well. i discovered i enjoy blending and will be doing more of it.

  3. i managed to work on the origami folds. i am not overly spacial so i get turned around rather quickly with this effort. however, even if i get it wrong it's good for my brain to attempt to follow the directions to get something that resembles what the directions add up to.

my blending exercises were better than anticipated. i enjoyed blending more than i thought i might. i think i put it off because i hadn't worked through how as yet. blending paint is an opportunity to see how different colors and mediums interact become a new color. artists make blending charts to refer to when different colors are desired. my blending results are charts as well.
