miscellaneous monday at the whimsey project! our day to share all the stuff we don't share the rest of the week. you have stuff; share it!

how are you doing with your daily whimsical moments notebook? keeping up? noting something of whimsey most days? hopefully so as being mindful of a day's whimsical moments can keep spirits lifted.  a recent moment that i recorded on may 25th: walking through mint plants around the playhouse. immediately the scent of mint filled the air. my shoes carried the oil of the mint plants; once inside the house was filled with minty aroma!

whimsical wednesday

whimsical wednesday at the whimsey project! today we are TRYING our hand at origami, the art of folding paper. use a pattern or just start folding to see what you end up with. that's art: realistic or abstract! there's such a thing as origami paper. i don't have any. it does that a square piece of paper. i have small squares of note paper that i will be using. use what you have or cut a square. the goal of today's activity to try, delve. you don't have to know how, you just have to try. whatever the final result, you did it! here's a link for you to look at if you are in search of a pattern:

i've had difficulty sleeping for the last several days. however, it has had its perks. right now the moon is very full. and golden. one morning i was outside feeding the kitties earlier than usual so i saw the big, big moon in the western sky. although the sky was blue and the sun was coming up, the moon was still large. another very very early morning i was awake and saw the same moon in the eastern sky. the sky was dark as it was long before time for the sunrise. if there wasn't going to be sleep, there was a whimsical moon to enjoy.
