whimsical wednesday
we're exploring color for whimsical wednesday! get our your largest box of crayons (mine contains 96 different colors)!! on a piece of paper, make a mark with each color. the mark can be a dot, line, circle, any shape you would enjoy creating. the colors can be grouped by color families or be completely random. did you find colors you didn't know existed? which colors were you attracted to? what will you use your color card (paper) for? go forth and explore color!

my color exploration was very soothing. i was lost in the colors of the 96 package of crayons. such names for colors: outrageous orange, mauvelous, bittersweet, macaroni and cheese, asparagus! when i happened upon a color with a simple name, such as blue, i thought now that's a color i can relate to. the dots i created with the colors were very different from the crayons themselves. most likely due to the saturation in color of the crayon and making a mark of a color on a white piece of paper. my pattern of dots on the edge of the paper lead to an art journal page that i was very pleased with when finished.
