trivia tuesday

trivia tuesday at the whimsey project! our day to share all manner of trivia; factual or experiential. all welcome.  bring it on!

we are at the time of year when america focuses on the end of the civil war.  my trivia is from this event.  the word deadline. andersonville in georgia was a prison for captured union soldiers. within the walls was a perimeter of posts.  these posts, about five feet from the walls, was the line prisoners could not cross or they would be shot.  the line became known as the deadline.
