a salute to summer! watermelons, which are 92% water, originated from the kalahari desert in africa!
Learned while on an architecture boat tour of Chicago. Chicago is basically built on a swamp and the onion cousin, the ramp, are originally from Chicago.
Florida and Georgia are the leading producers of watermelons.
