not something you see every day
it's tuesday! time for NOT SOMETHING YOU SEE EVERY DAY! share the unusual, the unique, the surprises that make us say wow or laugh out loud!
traveling highway 72 in Alabama last weekend, we came upon a tree decorated with pairs of shoes thrown all over the branches! Not sure how/who these were able to be put on this tree since it was right next to a busy highway. A mystery... and NOT SOMETHING YOU SEE EVERYDAY!
Going with the shoe theme - At Murray State University in Murray, KY, there is a tree with shoes nailed all over the truck, lower branches and exposed roots. Tradition is that couples who meet at Murray and marry come back and attach a shoe to the tree. There are flip flops, tennis shoes, dress shoes (men and womens) even baby shoes. Not Something you see everyday!

wow! both of those shoe trees sound neat! imagine! shoe trees in alabama and kentucky! wonder if other states have shoe trees!
