ReplyDeletefor whimsical wednesday, i ate a peanut butter and jelly (black cherry) sandwich while re-reading my favorite children's book, pippi longstockings by astrid lindgren. pippi and i spent many happy hours together when i was growning up. it was grand to spend time with her again.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were vacationing at Amelia Island, FL several summers ago, we found that the house where the movie pippi longstockings was filmed was on the island. As I loved the book also and remember the movie, we had to go see it. It's a private home so no tours but I got a picture anyway!
ReplyDeletethat's excellent! how neat to see the movie house of pippi longstockings! now i'll have to research amelia island, florida. i always wondered how the hair people for the movie got pippi's braids to stand straight out!
