we are doing a simple science experiment for whimsical wednesday! found on facebook, at early learning toys, it looks like lots of fun. you'll need a shallow plate, warm water and a skittles-like candy. here's a link to the video so you can watch it in action:

these photos are wonky! adding them to the post did not go smoothly. i gave up on the caption for the m&m candy melted. however, the rainbow colors did come through rather well.
