get ready.....
get ready for whimsical wednesday! it's national squirrel appreciation day! think about how you'll honor the squirrels in your backyard!
We don't have squirrels on our property, but will look in mom's yard when we are there Wednesday. Dad used to have a white squirrel that 'chatted' with him when he worked in his garden, but I haven't seen it for awhile. The squirrels would try to 'hide' the pecans--but promptly forgot where they buried them, like under a leaf! Too funny to watch.
Bwahaaa! The first thing this makes me think of is my Dad and his battles with the squirrels getting into his birdfeeders. Think of the Dad in The Christmas Story movie with the neighbors dogs and that's about it. He has pretty much squirrel proofed his feeders now, but we all laugh at the memory of Dad throwing open the sliding door and yelling at the squirrels at the top of lungs to get off the feeders. They jumped down but were of course back in minutes!

ReplyDeletesilly squirrels. that white squirrel often hangs out by the old skalar house when it's not in mom's backyard.
