not something you see every day!
it's tuesday! and when it's tuesday it's time for NOT SOMETHING YOU SEE EVERY DAY!!! share your funny, unique, interesting, quirky experiences with us today!
Starting my California trip at the Nashville airport, we were in the waiting area until fight time. A family gathered waiting for their loved one to come off a plane. When he was spotted, a young lady ran to meet him, he got down on his knees and held out a ring. All in the common area clapped and the families took lots of pix! She said YES!
We had dinner in Peoria last night before heading home. We ate at the Steak N Shake that is right on the river, literally. In fact, with the recent floodings in the area, when I was in Peoria a few weeks ago, the restaurant was it's own little island! All Ok though. Anyway, the back side of the store is all window that looks out over the river. We were lucky enough to get a table with a window. There is fencing some yards out separating the grassy area and those who would want to eat outside from the river. There was a pair of geese happily pecking grass and bugs on our side of the fence. At one point, we realized there was another pair of geese on the river side of the fence and the two pairs were "talking" to each other. We couldn't hear them of course, but all four had their necks going and beaks opening and closing. Lots of action there. We discussed what they might be "saying" to each other and decided that probably both pairs were trying the convince the other pair that their side of the fence was better. Funny to watch and made for good conversation!
